I’m very proud of my athlete Emily Wiggins in her first open competition this past weekend at the BCPA Spring Showdown.

We have been working together for a few years now and she’s done quite a few meets but she’s officially graduated to the Open category and started out with quite a start indeed.

Ended the day with 145/112.5/187.5 with the following PRs/records:

  • 2kg comp bench PR
  • provincial open Women’s 76kg bench record (7.5 kg over previous)
  • 12.5kg comp deadlift PR
  • 5kg all time deadlift PR

Finished the day with second place (out totalled by 5kg) but won best female lifter on points.

Her 4th Best Lifter award to date.

Well done, Emily!
